I’ve been using Google Analytics as a hobbyist for the past number of years. I’ve never really used Google Analytics as a decision-making tool or actively make changes based on results from Google Analytics.
We are in the process of implementing a web analytics strategy and Google Analytics will be our tool of choice. I’ve purchased a book “Web Analytics: An Hour A Day” by Avinash Kaushik and have been working through that book. I’m also taking part in some other online courses/webinars about analytics.
A great resource that I will be using as part of my web analytics toolkit is a newly release Google Analytics Getting Started Guide.
This guide will introduce you to the basics of Google Analytics including definitions, the reporting interface, setup and implementation instructions, etc.
