So back in 2007 I first started using Twitter.  My use of Twitter fizzled out and I never really looked again until November 2008 when I attended a higher education web marketing conference.

For those of you that are active Twitter uses, TweetDeck is a must-have program.  TweetDeck is an Adobe AIR application and is in public beta, but it works awesomely.

It allows users the ability to create filters on tweets based on direct messages, keywords, etc.  It also has a built-in feature to take long URLs that you want to share using a variety of URL shortening services.  You can also translate your tweet into a variety languages using a built-in translator.

If you are a Twitter user, you really need to check out TweetDeck.  It’s an amazing application and a good use of the Adobe AIR framework.
